In 2014, Mitsuo (Mit) Lockrow established Cambridge Wealth Management. Before founding the firm, he was a vice president of investments at UBS for over a decade in their Boston and Wellesley, Massachusetts offices. Mit was certified as a Portfolio Manager under the select UBS Portfolio Management Program and managed institutional and private client portfolios with a total return approach. He also provided investment recommendations and trading services for bank and trust companies.
Before joining UBS, Mit was a Senior Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch in their Albany, New York, and Cambridge, Massachusetts offices. From the outset, he embraced a fee-based approach to asset management. During his five-year tenure at Merrill, Mit earned the Certified Financial Manager designation and achieved Winner's Circle, Executive's Club, and President's Club recognition levels. In 2000, the District Director of Merrill Lynch asked him to be part of a team to help launch a new branch in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Mit holds a BA in political science from the University of Kansas and studied East Asian culture and Japanese. After graduation, he continued his Japanese studies at Nichibei Kaiwa Gakuin in Tokyo, Japan.
